WinISP Upgrades and Specials from Adhost - Summer 2010

1. Recent Upgrades to the WinISP Platform

Over the past few months the Adhost Windows Server team has made the following upgrades to the WinISP platform:

• ASP.NET 4.0 installed: the setting is applied on a per application pool basis. If you want to run ASP.NET 4.0 code, send a request to winisp-support@adhost.com.
• ASP.NET MVC versions 1 and 2 installed
• URL Rewrite version 2 installed
• PHP upgraded to version 5.2.12
• Storage space increased to 300 MB per site

2. Adhost Specials for WinISP

• Cloud Servers: 10% off the monthly price of our base configuration (1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB of space, and 1,000 GB of traffic). See below for more information.
• Managed Win 2008 Dedicated Servers: $0 setup fee and a $50 per month per server discount.
• Colocation (quarter, half or full racks) in our SAS 70 Seattle data centers: $0 setup fee and a 50% discount off the first electrical circuit (20Amp, 120Volt).
• POP/IMAP email accounts: $1 per account per month (1GB storage limit).

3. Cloud Servers with Hyper-V

We built our cloud server platform using the Dynamic Data Center Toolkit from Microsoft and manage it with the System Center Suite. Utilizing Microsoft’s Hyper-V virtualization technology, all servers come installed with Windows Server 2008 R2, ASP.NET 4.0, IIS7 and Web Platform Installer. Features include:

• Variety of technologies supported such as ASP.NET, PHP, MS SQL, Silverlight, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and many more
• Flexible and fast scalability of storage space, processing power and memory
• Managed patching
• Firewalling with IPs included
• SAN storage
• Administrative root-level access

• Security scanning and reporting
• Advanced monitoring
• Reporting of hard drive capacity and utilization of RAM, processor, and application pool
