Support - Streaming Media

Do you want to have streaming media on your Web site? Adhost can help. We have two main types of streaming media available for you.

The first option allows you to upload a video to your site via FTP and create a link to it. The video will usually open in your customers' default media player and stream from the server. Alternatively, customers may choose different media players to view the video depending on the file type (.mov, .avi, .rm or .wmv, etc).

The second option is an embedded video method in which you can "package" video clips into your Web page. You can also control how it is displayed. This option will allow your intended audience to customize how they view your videos.

Users may use a simple code which is embedded into their website to provide easy-to-use controls.

To view an example of this type of streaming media press the Play button on the video window. This method of media can also be used to play automatically on the page and is not dependant on a media player to view.
