Support - Directory Browsing

What is Directory Browsing?

Directory browsing allows the visitor to your web page to browse the directory of files. If the user clicks on a broken link, or goes to a page that no longer exists, the browser will display the file directory and allow the user to pick which file they would like to view.

By default we set up our unix web servers to have directory browsing turned on. To turn them off, place a .htaccess file in the appropriate directory with this one line (or add to its current .htaccess file).

Options - Indexes

If your site is hosted on a Microsoft server you can have this service turned on. If you would like to have this turned on, please email support@adhost.com. Please specify the domain and that you would like to have directory browsing turned on.
