Support - Catch-all Mailboxes
A catchall email address is a mailbox to which any email not destined for a specific mailbox will be delivered. So when you get email addressed to clvm@domain.com or peolo@domain.com, they will be delivered to you. We recommend that this is set-up to delete messages for incorrectly addressed emails.
Note: You should make sure that all the aliases (email addresses) you want are already set-up before doing this.
To change your catch-all,
- Log into the Client Login (http://client.adhost.com).
- Click on "Email Manager". There you will see where to set up and administer the main pop accounts.
- At the bottom where it says "Email Aliases" select your domain from the drop-down menu. You will be taken to the alias page.
- Click 'Modify' next to the catch-all. Set it to NOT send a bounce message and just DELETE the email; make the target 'bit-bucket@mail.adhost.com' (without the quotes). This will resolve many junk mail issues.
