Do you back up everything on your shared servers nightly? 

All shared servers are backed up Sunday thru Friday - 6 nights a week.

How far back do you keep everything? 

We keep daily backups for approximately 3 weeks, and a tape is archived on the first of every month.

At what point are backups stored on tape or other media? 

Every night a backup is completed onto tape and stored off-site. We also have a backup on hard drives that rotates every three days.

Can you retrieve a single page or do you have to retrieve the entire site? 

We can do either.

What is the cost for retrieving lost content? 

If we only go back at most three days, the cost is $25 per incident. If we have to go back to tape (four days or more), the cost is $75 per incident. Per incident means: If you ask us to only retrieve a file, you will be charged. If you decide later that it was not the correct file and you want another file(s) or you want the whole site retrieved, then you will be charged again and the fee is dependent on if we pull from hard drive or tape.

What is the turn-around time for retrieving lost content? 

On business days, Monday-Friday 6am - 7pm PST, we will retrieve the files the same day, typically within 3-4 hours. If it is after hours, Monday-Friday our webmaster rates of $150 per hour will be charged. Weekend rates are $300 per hour.
