Adhost East Power Outage Summary and Timeline
Posted in Company NewsWe have produced an Adhost East Power Outage Summary and Timeline. This document is intended for non-technical audiences and gives a highlight overview of the event and the actions taken. A more detailed, technical document is being produced and will be available upon request when completed. This document is in draft form and represents what Adhost knows as of July 6, 10:30 AM PST.
We apologize for the extent of this event. We also want to assure our customers that we will
integrate the lessons that we learn from this event into our on-going operations and policies and
procedures.
We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and their patience as we worked
through this. We received a number of very warm and supportive comments from many of our
customers. These comments went a long way to keeping our team going through this grueling
time.
We would also like to thank the hordes of engineers, electricians and other contractors for their
tireless work through a holiday weekend. In particular we would like to thank Egis Engineering,
Prime Electric, Cummins, McKinstry, and Eaton Power Systems. They really came through for us
in a moment of dire need.
Finally, I would like to thank my wonderful staff who put in countless hours tirelessly in a tough
situation and who remained calm, friendly, effective and professional throughout.

Posted in Company NewsPower has been restored to the Adhost East Data Center and all customer systems should be back on line at this time. We have performed a visual inspection of all systems in the data center and all appear to be operational. If you are experiencing any issues accessing your site or services, please contact us immediately at support@adhost.com and use the Subject “SERVICES DOWN”. We will expedite these requests.
We will be working with the building on an official post mortem of the event that we will make available to our customers. We sincerely apologize for the duration and effect of this event.

Posted in Company NewsFisher Plaza East is now running on temporary power. We are beginning to power on colocated servers in our East data center. We have staff on site to provide any remote-hands assistance for colocated clients who may need help bringing equipment back on line.
Our phone system is still not operational. Please continue to send mail to support@adhost.com and we will process requests as quickly as possible.

Posted in Company NewsFisher Building engineers are continuing to work to restore power. Unfortunately, as with any large outage, there are many contingencies that are discovered only through the restoration process. As such, the restoration time line has been increased several times during the course of the event.
At this point we are antcipating to be restored in +/- 2 hours. The process of bypassing the affected electrical components is almost complete and we are hoping that the turn up will go smoothly. We will either update you with any modifications to the time line or, hopefully, advise you once power has been restored to Adhost East data center.
Our phone system is still not operational at this time. Until the phones are restored, please use support@adhost.com to contact us with any questions or concerns. We are fully staffed and will respond to all inquiries. Please be patient if we don’t respond immediately; we are working through all of the tickets in the queue as quickly as we can.
Adhost staff will be on site until and after power has been restored to the data center. If you need remote-hands assistance to restore your equipment to service, please send an email to support@adhost.com with specific instructions. We will have engineers on site that can perform most start up tasks on your behalf.

Posted in Company NewsAround noon today Fisher Plaza brought in two 2 megawatt Catepillar generators. Fisher maintenance and electrical teams are continuing to work on restoring power to Fisher Plaza East. Reports from Fisher are that it could be another 4 to 6 hours before power is restored to the building.
For our colocation clients, when power is restored, we will have staff on site to provide any remote-hands assistance you may need to bring your equipment back on line. Our phone system will also be operational once power is restored. In the meantime, if you have any special requirements or require special assistance you may send mail to support@adhost.com.

Plaza East Upate
Posted in Company NewsWe have been advised by the building engineering team that they anticipate restoring power to the Plaza East building in plus or minus 4 hours. We sincerely hope this is an accurate number and, if not, we will let you know as soon as we receive new information from the engineers.
When power is restored, we will have staff on site to provide any remote-hands assistance you may need to bring your equipment back on line. Our phone system will also be operational once power is restored. As such, if you have any special requirements or require special assistance you may send mail to support@adhost.com or call 206-404-9500.
We anticipate a large volume of requests. Please be patient if you have difficulty reaching someone at Adhost. We have brought in a full complement of staff and we will address any and all issues that may arise.

Fisher Plaza East Power Event
Posted in Company NewsBeginning at approximately 11:18 PM on July 2nd and continuing through the present time, Fisher Plaza experienced a significant power event that required all power systems including street power, UPS, and generator power to be completely shut down in Plaza East. The event is ongoing and, at this point, we do not have a ETA for service restoration. Please note that Adhost’s Plaza West facility is not affected by this event.
The Adhost phone system is not operational as a result of this event, but we are fully staffed and responding to emails sent to support@adhost.com . Until further notice this will be the only conduit for communicating with Adhost. Please be patient with any requests sent into the Support email. We will process all requests as quickly as we can and we promise to answer every query.
If you have specific needs for assistance for powering up your devices, please send email to Support with specific instructions. We will do our best to accommodate your requirements.
We apologize for the nature and extent of this event and are doing everything possible to restore service as quickly as possible. Please send all questions and concerns to support@adhost.com.
