Email Attachment Limit Increased

Here’s some good news: we have increased the size limit of a single piece of email, including attachments, on the Adhost mail servers to 25 MB.

We still encourage you to use links in emails to large files rather than attaching them to email. For example, you can upload the files to your Web site directory or we can set up an FTP directory for you.  Besides having the advantage of making smaller email, that also gives the recipient more choices as to when to download it or if they want the file at all.

Also, note that many mail transfer agents (MTA) continue to have size limits and just because we allow larger email sizes doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be successfully delivered to a non-Adhost mail server.
