Adhost’s 1st Colocation Client Sells for $100M
Adhost would like to congratulate Randy Conrads, founder of Classmates.com, on the sale of Classmates.com to United Online on October 25, 2004 for $100 million. Classmates.com was one of Adhost’s first colocation clients signing up in January 1996.
According to Will Riffle, President and CEO of Adhost, “Classmates.com and Adhost ‘grew up’ together during the pioneer days of Web sites. We take pride in the role Adhost played in Classmates.com’s early success.” Conrads provided one of Adhost’s earliest and strongest client testimonials, which still appears on the Adhost site: “Your quick, decisive action saved us. Purchasing a new machine and configuring that machine during the hours when most everyone else was sleeping is without precedence. You truly understand that the Internet is a 24-hour business and take your business (and ours) seriously.”
The good relationship between Adhost and Conrads has continued over the years and starting in 2001, Conrads began hosting his latest venture, RedWeek.com, at Adhost. RedWeek.com is a member-supported site where travelers can find bargains at roomy resort condominiums, and timeshare owners can post units to rent, sell or trade. “RedWeek.com is another great idea. We look forward to supporting their growth at Adhost,” commented Riffle.
