The Adhost Cloud Server platform is ready for sign-ups! Also known as virtual dedicated servers, our cloud servers offer the power and accessibility of a dedicated server with scalability of cloud hosting.
Built using Microsoft’s Hyper-V virtualization technology, all servers come installed with Windows Server 2008 R2, ASP.NET 4.0, IIS7 and Web Platform Installer. Other features include:

We built our cloud server platform using the Dynamic Data Center Toolkit from Microsoft and manage it with the System Center Suite. Using your Access.Adhost control panel, you will have self-serve access to your server environment and can make changes, add services and monitor performance as needed.

Network Upgrade to 10Gbps Ethernet
Due to our continued growth and customer demand, Adhost is in the process of converting our network to 10 Gigabit Ethernet on the backbone. We have selected Cisco Systems Resilient Ethernet Protocol to provide the highest level of protection for our infrastructure, resulting in increased uptime and reliability for our clients. We will be moving our client connections over to the new network in the coming months and, in most cases, this upgrade will be transparent to you. For those clients requiring extra configuration or assistance, we will be contacting you to make the changes necessary to enjoy the benefits of the new network.
PCI Compliant Credit Card Processing
We have partnered with FrontStream Payments to provide PCI compliant credit card processing to our e-commerce clients. FrontStream offers a secure e-commerce gateway allowing an online transaction to occur on the FrontStream PCI compliant servers rather than on an Adhost or client server. In addition they offer competitive processing rates and several Adhost clients have already saved money by switching to FrontStream from their current credit card processor. We are excited to announce that Adhost now offers Microsoft’s recently released ASP .NET 4.0 on all of our shared Windows hosting plans. ASP.NET 4.0 is the newest version of Microsoft’s web application framework and allows programmers to build dynamic web sites and web applications. Existing sites for Adhost clients will remain set to 2.0. All new sites will be set to 4.0 (there is no 3.0 or 3.5 selection, that functionality is included in 2.0 and 4.0). We do not plan to install 4.0 on our Windows 2003 servers, and clients on our Windows 2003 servers desiring 4.0 will need to be migrated to our Windows 2008 servers.
