Email Update

To our clients who were affected by problems with our email servers in October, thank you for your patience. The essential underlying issue was large increases of SPAM inbound to our network. While we try to maintain ample head-room in our mail-server architecture, we simply did not have the resources at hand to be prepared for the influx that we have experienced. We have also heard that other providers have been experiencing similar volume increases. We have added capacity or upgraded major components to the following systems: network infrastructure, load balancers, SMTP servers, database servers, and filters. We have extensively tuned and retuned these systems to maximize their effectiveness. Electronic mail is extremely important and we are committed to providing a reliable and robust solution. Currently, we are handling approximately 7 million incoming email messages per day of which we discard or otherwise refuse approximately 90%.

Holiday Hours

The Adhost Business Office will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th for the Thanksgiving Holiday; however, our technical services office will be on our regular 24 hour schedule.
