Built using the Adhost Merchant (our e-commerce system) in 2002, Enterprise Control Systems (ECS) Web store hummed along for three years. Last fall ECS, a full service value added reseller for data center and IT solutions, approached Adhost about upgrading various features of their online store. Using the new and improved Adhost Merchant, we revamped their store and added custom functions, designed new interface elements for the store area based on their existing site, and created a Dynamic Flyout menu tied to product data. Adhost is pleased to announce an expansion of our network infrastructure. Adhost has added Cisco 12000 Series routers that will provide additional resiliency, redundancy and capacity to our carrier-class network. Adhost has added new servers with upgraded features to our shared hosting network. .NET 2.0, ASP 2.0, and IIS 6 are now available. We have also installed SQL Server 2005. 1) Google Analytics: Google is offering a free Web site statistics program. According to their site, “Google Analytics tells you everything you want to know about how your visitors found you and how they interact with your site. You'll be able to focus your marketing resources on campaigns and initiatives that deliver ROI, and improve your site to convert more visitors.” Currently, sign-ups are by invitation only. 2) Yahoo!’s Shorter Descriptions: At the end of January, Yahoo! shortened the length of the sponsored ad descriptions it presents on its search results pages. The display length is now 70 characters (versus 190 previously). If you have a pay-per-click campaign on Yahoo!, it may be time to re-visit your key word descriptions.
