Imagine if your Web site were down for 3 days...
That is exactly what happened to Montana Traders, before they became a colocation client at Adhost. Montana Traders supports sites such as skateamerica.com, and their server was colocated in a Florida data center. During Hurricane Rita, the data center lost power, and to make matters worse, there were problems with the generators which led to three days of downtime. In just a few hours, Adhost's systems administrators set up a dedicated server for Montana Traders, and they are now happily colocated at Adhost's mission critical data center in the Fisher Plaza and planning to add more servers here.
With the start of the new year, we encourage all of our clients to review our Acceptable Use Policy at https://signup.adhost.com/dns/svc_terms.cfm 1) Yahoo is running a special promotion for new clients for their Sponsored Search program. For a limited time, they will create your account AND give you a $75.00 deposit to use towards your click charges. Call (888) 254-2726 for more information.2) Did you know that 100 million consumers downloaded the Firefox Web browser in the past year and that about 20% of the people visiting www.adhost.com use Firefox? Certain Web site applications like registration forms and shopping carts can break in Firefox so we recommend that you test your site using Firefox. Domain Name Servers (DNS) Reminder
We are working on phasing out our old Domain Name Servers (DNS), NS1.ADHOST.COM and NS2.ADHOST.COM. Instead all domain names which are registered to be controlled by Adhost should now list NS.ADHOST.COM and NS0.ADHOST.COM as the "Domain Servers" for the domain name. For more information see our December Newsletter.
It’s that time of year again when we reflect on the
multitude of news-worthy (and not-so-news-worthy) happenings of the
past year. Check out the following link to see a variety of lists
including the top search terms of 2005, top blogs, and other year-end
compilations such as most popular books, movies, and viral videos.
