Treat Yourself to a Meal Out and Help Fundraise for the American Red Cross…
On October 5, 2005, restaurants across the country will band together in a "Dine for America" day, a national fundraising effort for the American Red Cross to help the survivors, victims, their families and other arising needs from the Hurricane Katrina and Rita disasters. 100% of the funds raised through Dine for America will go directly to the American Red Cross.
Adhost is donating server colocation services and bandwidth to Dine for America to support their mission in raising money for the Red Cross’ hurricane disaster relief. To find a restaurant near you, visit:
We are working on phasing out our old Domain Name Servers (DNS), NS1.ADHOST.COM and NS2.ADHOST.COM. Instead all domain names which are registered to be controlled by Adhost should now list NS.ADHOST.COM and NS0.ADHOST.COM as the "Domain Servers" for the domain name.
If you are registering a domain yourself, you should no longer use the old NS1.ADHOST.COM and NS2.ADHOST.COM name servers. Instead, please use these:
- NS.ADHOST.COM 216.211.128.11
- NS0.ADHOST.COM 66.119.192.10
In the near future, we will be turning off the old domain name servers. We expect this to occur on or about December 1, 2005. After that time, Adhost DNS servers will no longer authoritatively resolve your domain unless it is set to use NS.ADHOST.COM and NS0.ADHOST.COM, so it is very important that you make this change, if it is needed for your domain(s).
To check the DNS for your domain name, go to http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jhtml. Enter your domain name. At the bottom of the “whois record” you will see the DNS servers listed under “Domain servers in listed order.”
Should you have any questions about these changes, please send an email to support@adhost.com.
The holidays are just around the corner and if you want a piece of the holiday shopping pie, you should take a look at your search engine marketing campaign now. According to WebTrends, one out of five retailers surveyed said that the holiday season accounts for at least half of their annual sales.
So, how can you increase your online sales during the holidays?
- Buy holiday key words for your pay-per-click campaigns (for example, holiday candles, Christmas cards, etc.)
- Update copy on your landing pages to reflect the holiday season
- Consider using promotions such as quantity discounts or free shipping
