Domain Email Addresses

Overview

This interface allows robust email configurations such as targeting an email address to a single mailbox, multiple mailboxes, single external email address, multiple external email addresses and a mixture of mailboxes and external email addresses. Auto-Responder messages can be added and modified for each domain email address.

View Domain Email Addresses

To view the current domain email addresses for a particular domain or to set up new domain email address click on a domain from the list of domains for your account.

Once you selected a domain you will see a list of all email associations that are set up for that domain. The Target for each domain email address can be an Adhost mail box in the form of username@mail.adhost.com or it can be an external email address.

Add Domain Email Address

You can set a target for an existing mail box or an external email address.

Forwarding a domain email address is as simple as adding an external email address as its target.

The Mail box and Mail Box Server will have to be filled out the following way:

If this new domain email address will be aliased to an Adhost mail box
- Mail Box will have to be filled out with your mailbox username
- Mail Box Server should be mail.adhost.com (already filled in).
If this new domain email address will forward to an external email address
- Mail Box will have to be filled with the part of the external email address before the @ sign.
- Mail Box Server will have to be filled in with your external email address' domain.

Manage existing domain email addresses

The following actions can be performed on each domain email address:

Modify (Add / Remove / Edit Targets)
Delete
Add / Edit / Delete Auto-Responder

Modify

You can change the target, add additional targets and/or remove existing targets. When adding additional targets to a particular domain email address you can add an additional 5 targets at a time. After you click "Make Changes" you can add 5 more targets by clicking on "Modify" again.

Delete

By clicking on "Delete" you can remove the selected domain email address. Please note that this does not remove a mailbox (username@mail.adhost.com) from our system. You will have to remove the mailbox from the Mail Box page manually after you have removed all the domain email addresses that were aliased to that particular mailbox.

Auto-Responder

This allows you to add an auto-response message on a particular domain email address. Please note that this is a per domain email address setting and not a per mailbox setting.
